Introducing Singer/Songwriter Christine Donovan!

Christine Donovan is a mature, passionate singer and a songwriter of depth and elegant understatement. Born in Kingston, Ontario, her songs transform the ordinary day, moment or thought to the extraordinary. Her sound is frequently compared to a cross between Lucinda Williams and Norah Jones and fans of Shelby Lynne, Aimee Mann, Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Loreena McKennitt and Joni Mitchell will also enjoy Christine’s music. A proud Canadian woman with a knack for lyric and melody, and a voice that can communicate expressively, she has spent years developing her sound and is proficient on guitar, piano and harmonica. From her earliest years, Christine has always enjoyed writing poetry, stories and songs and encouraged by friends and family, she has written, recorded and produced three independent CDs and one three song demo.

Her first independent CD Rain Down On Me was recorded at Pinnacle Studio in Belleville. The second, Lucky Me was recorded at Longshot Studios in Kingston and her most recent CD, In Her Mind was recorded at the Bathouse Studio in Kingston. Christine’s three song demo of original tunes was recorded at Tiki Towne Studios in Marin County, California.

The album cover of In Her Mind was shot on the shores of Lake Ontario and her song, “Stones of Kingston” pays homage to Christine’s beloved hometown.
