Chris McKhool’s Earth, Seas and Air Children’s Show Coming to Sudbury!

Chris McKhool will be performing an Earth Month Sudbury Family show, presented by Northern Lights Festival Boréal on April 29th, 2012 at 1:30 pm.  The show will be held at the Jubilee Centre and tickets are available for $10/NLFB members, $15/everyone else at

Hailed as a “Children’s musical star” (National Post) and “Canada’s greatest eco-troubadour for young people” (Mississauga Living Arts Centre), 2009 JUNO Award nominee Chris McKhool is one of Canada’s hottest musicians for young people. Chris has been touring across Canada with his children’s concerts for over ten years, reaching 1 million children, and has appeared on Mr. Dressup, YTV’s Treehouse, TVOntario’s Crawlspace and the CBC.

Chris brings his love of music to young audiences and tours his Earth, Seas & Air, Celebrate! and FiddleFire! concerts for children in festivals and concert halls across Canada. Closer to home he has performed at Toronto Harbourfront’s Cushion Concert series, the Distillery Jazz Festival, and has headlined Toronto’s First Night at the Rogers Centre.

A champion of environmental issues, Chris created the World’s Largest Bicycle Bell Orchestra at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto with over 800 bell ringers! Chris won a Green Toronto Award of Excellence and the Environment Canada Action Award for his CD/concert “Earth, Seas & Air”.

Chris has toured through all of Canada and has appeared at the Ottawa, Vancouver, Thunder Bay and London International Children’s Festivals. He has also performed in the US, England, Cuba, Guatemala and Tibetan schools across the Indian Himalayas. Chris also plays violin and tours with his original World-Jazz-Flamenco band Sultans of String, receiving a 2010 JUNO Award nomination for Instrumental Album of the Year and winning the 2009 Canadian Folk Music Award for Instrumental Group of the Year.
